What this policy covers
This policy explains what information the current version of SettleMind stores, how that information is used, and what choices you have. It applies to the app experience itself. Apple, the App Store, and your device operating system may process information under their own terms when you download, install, back up, or use your device.
Information the app stores locally
The current version stores the following information in an on-device database so the app can work as expected:
- Relief session history: session start and end times, distress ratings entered before or after a session, number of completed hold cycles, whether grounding was completed, and the reassurance template that was shown.
- Task history: calming tasks available in the app, tasks you complete, completion timestamps, and any optional distress ratings recorded around those tasks.
- Favorites: exercises you mark as favorites.
- Preferences: your preferred exercise duration and your default quick-access relief tool.
How the app uses that information
The app uses the locally stored information to:
- show recent relief and task history inside the app,
- remember your favorites and settings between sessions,
- restore your preferred tool and duration choices, and
- support the self-guided experience without requiring sign-in.
Information the current version does not require
The current version of SettleMind does not require an account, username, password, profile photo, phone number, contact list, camera access, microphone access, or precise location access to use the core experience.
Advertising, analytics, and third parties
The current version is designed as a local-first app. It does not require third-party advertising, account infrastructure, or in-app analytics tracking to provide the core breathing, grounding, and relief features.
We do not sell personal information. If future versions introduce cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, subscriptions, or other external services, this policy should be updated before those changes are released.
Backups, deletion, and data retention
- Information stored by the app remains on your device until you delete the app, clear the device, or overwrite it with later app activity.
- Deleting the app typically removes the app's local data from the device.
- If Apple device backups or other OS-level backup features are enabled, copies of app data may remain in those backups until they expire or are replaced under the platform provider's policies.
Children's privacy
SettleMind is a general audience self-help app and is not intended to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information directly with the support contact listed on this page, email us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
